UCSI International School

Students who board are often more independent and exhibit better work ethics than their non-boarding counterparts. In such an environment, one will give undivided attention to studies while remaining active in the campus community. Something will always be happening with the school’s full recreational facilities, including outdoor courts for basketball, volleyball, futsal and tennis, a gymnasium for gymnastics, dancing and other indoor activities and an Olympic-sized pool to promote sport and physical fitness.

 

Hostel

The UIS hostel will be a haven of comfort for students.  We believe that sharing, camaraderie and teamwork are necessary values to succeed in life. Our student hostels are designed to exemplify this and students sleep three to a room, with each student receiving his own single bed and sharing a common area and bathroom.

Peer to peer learning is an important aspect of the boarding experience. While studying, living and playing together, students learn both how to live independently as well as interdependently - relying on themselves while assisting each other. The friendships developed at boarding school are friendships that will last a lifetime.

 

Classroom

Presented with a clean and modern look, UIS classrooms are purpose-built to accommodate students of differing ages. Rooms also feature Smart Board technology, offering a high-tech fusion of a whiteboard and computer desktop. This state-of-the-art, fully interactive device provides teachers a powerful interface with the ability to use digital ink. Chalk and markers are now things of the past!

 

Multi-Purpose Hall

In addition to full accommodation facilities, the UCSI International School boasts specialised science, technology, music and art classrooms as well as a multi-purpose hall. This multi-purpose hall will offer a stunning area to house school plays, musical performances, talent shows, guest speakers and school-wide entertainment.

 

TV Room

Boys and girls have separate housing but share easy access to a bookstore, a convenience shop, a TV lounge, laundry services, a cafeteria, and other facilities. The TV room will be especially popular, as it provides students with an organized, temperature-controlled meeting place.

 

Library

UIS’s attractive library has been specifically developed for kids. This two-storey library has been designed to accommodate the unique needs of older and younger students in separate areas. Youngsters will use the ground floor while more mature students take the stairs through a brilliantly designed cut out in the ceiling.

The interior of the library features a design focusing on both practicality and comfort. Students will find all the reference books they need, multiple discussion rooms for group projects, plenty of seating for a quiet refuge and even a place to lounge.
